  • How do I enquire?
There are various ways to enquire. You can fill our enquiry form to let us know which tattoo you’re looking to get. You can pop in to the studio to discuss it but keep it mind our artists might be busy so it is always recommended to call before or message to book a consultation. You can also message us on Instagram as our page is monitored and all DM’s are answered. You can also call or email the studio.
  • Can I walk-in or is it appointments only?
We always recommend booking an appointment, however, if we happen to have time on the day, we are happy to take walk-ins.
  • Consultations
You can book a free consultation to discuss your next project. Consultations are especially recommended for cover-ups and bigger projects.
  • What you need to know before booking
We don’t tattoo anyone under the age of 18. You will be requested to provide ID. We can’t tattoo you if you are pregnant or breast-feeding. The healing process is an important part of the tattoo, so avoid booking just before a holiday. That also includes sunbeds, baths and swimming pools. Deposits are non-refundable so make sure you are certain you want to book. If you have a medical condition, make sure you’ve discussed it with your GP or medical professional to see if it was safe to get tattooed. Please let your artist know as well before booking.
  • Deposits
Each appointment requires a deposit. Sketching designs takes a considerable amount of time and effort, especially as artists work with many clients. Creating a custom design without knowing if the client will book an appointment is therefore not feasible. Deposits are a guarantee for both the artist and the client. If you are unsure about committing to a tattoo, feel free to discuss it further with your artist before booking. The amount of the deposit depends on the artist and size of the project. It is taken off the full price of the tattoo. Deposits are non-refundable, but we can reschedule your appointment free of charge if you give us at least 48 hours of notice. Keep in mind that we normally don't hold deposits for more than 3 months. We allow rescheduling up to two times, after that a new deposit will be required. Deposits are specific to the initial project. If you book with an artist but then change ideas for the agreed design, you may be required to pay a new deposit to cover the design and drawing time that the artist already invested. Failure to reschedule or show up to your appointment will result in the deposit being lost. Deposits can be paid cash in the studio or via bank transfer to the following account: Account name: Xotica Tattoo Company (business company) Account number: 60202327 Sort Code: 60-08-20 Reference: Your Name
  • What if I need to reschedule?
We are happy to reschedule your appointment up to two times if necessary. If you need to reschedule a third time, you will be required to pay a new deposit. Please keep in mind that we require 48 hours of notice to change it free of charge. After that, the deposit will be lost.
  • How do I prepare for my appointment?
To best prepare for an appointment, there are a few tips that will make your session easier: Get a good night sleep Avoid alcohol the day before Eat something before visiting the studio Wear comfortable clothing. Avoid anything white or something you’d be upset to get a mark on. Although we are careful, we can’t guarantee that ink or stencil won’t stain. Drink plenty of water
  • Can I see the design before my appointment?
We normally don’t show designs before the appointment (unless it has been discussed and agreed prior with the artist). There is plenty of time to make adjustments if needed on the day.
  • Can I use numbing cream?
We do not use numbing cream at the studio and don’t recommend our customer using it. This can make the skin harder to tattoo and also affect the healing. It also tends to run out fairly quickly so you can end up in a lot more pain for a part of the appointment.
  • Are there placements you do not tattoo?
    We don't tattoo fingers.
  • Do you tattoo fingers?
No. We don’t tattoo fingers for multiple reasons, including fading and blowouts.
  • How does the pricing work?
We will give you a quote based on the design/placement/size/colours. For biggest pieces & session work, it will be priced per hour or day rate. That is to be discussed directly with your artist. The studio's minimum charge is £80.
  • Can I bring a guest?
You are welcome to bring a guest to your appointment (18+ only) but they will have to wait in the reception area during your appointment.
  • Do you do cover-ups?
We do cover-ups when possible. A consultation is required prior to booking.
  • Can I exercise after my tattoo?
This is very dependent on the tattoo you’ve gotten so please check directly with your artist. We do however recommend keeping the tattoo clean (from sweat, from dirt, gym machines, etc) and potentially avoid exercising the part of your body you got tattooed for the week after your appointment.
  • Do you do laser removal?
    We don't offer this service.
  • Do you offer touch-ups?
We offer free touch-ups within the first three months of your tattoo (done at our studio!). After that, we can still touch up the tattoo but you will be required to pay.
  • Can I bring my children to my appointment?
Unless they’re an adult coming with you as a guest, no. Unsupervised children as not allowed in the studio.
  • I have a medical condition, can I still get tattooed?
Make sure you discuss it with your GP or medical professional first. If they give you the go ahead, we will be happy to tattoo you. Please always tell us if you have a medical condition or are on specific medication.
  • I am going on holiday next week, can I still get tattooed?
If your holiday involves going to the sunshine and the beach, we would strongly advise you to wait until you’re back before getting tattooed. It is important to avoid direct sunlight and soaking the fresh tattoo in water (bath, swimming pool, sea, etc). So if you don’t want to be restricted on holiday, just do your tattoo when you’re back!
